Software Licence

Last updated: 2 November 2026 · Version 2026-11-02

Commercial proprietary licence for SpecDox. Version 2026-11-02.

1. Grant

Aurora grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run SpecDox, or access its hosted service, for your own personal or internal organisational purposes within the deployment, users, period and feature limits of your free plan or paid order. Contractors may use it on your behalf within those limits; you remain responsible for their use. A self-hosted right exists only where the plan or order includes it.

2. Ownership and restrictions

SpecDox is licensed, not sold. Aurora and its licensors retain intellectual property in the software and documentation. Except where law or a separate licence permits, you may not redistribute, sublicense, sell copies, offer SpecDox as a service to third parties, remove ownership notices, bypass entitlement controls, or reverse engineer the software. Mandatory rights concerning interoperability, security research and other permitted acts remain unaffected. Access to source code or a publicly accessible package does not itself grant an open-source licence.

3. Content and third-party components

This licence does not claim ownership of your repositories, documents or generated deliverables. Third-party components retain their own licences and notices, including any rights those licences independently grant. Those terms prevail for the relevant component. Preserve applicable notices when exercising permitted redistribution rights.

4. Duration and end of rights

The licence lasts for the applicable entitlement or agreed term. Free access is limited to free-plan rights and does not confer paid features. On expiry or termination stop using features and deployments for which rights have ended and remove unauthorised copies; you may retain your own content and copies required by law. Any continuing free rights or expressly agreed perpetual rights remain governed by their terms. Cancellation and refunds follow the Terms of Service and Refund Policy.

5. Service terms

The Terms of Service apply to support, warranties, liability, termination, governing law and mandatory rights. No clause overrides non-excludable law or rights granted under an applicable third-party licence.
