Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 November 2026 · Version 2026-11-02

These terms govern SpecDox software and hosted services supplied by Aurora. Paddle sells paid subscriptions as merchant of record.

1. Supplier and agreement

Aurora means ACL Aurora Core Labs LTD, Strovolou, 77, 2018 Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus. Contact: hello@auroratech.ai or https://specdox.com/contact. The applicable order identifies your plan, deployment, permitted users, features, fees and subscription period. These terms, the Software Licence and Acceptable Use Policy govern use. The Data Processing Agreement governs processing on your behalf. An expressly agreed written variation prevails on its subject; the DPA prevails for customer personal data. Paddle Buyer Terms govern your purchase from Paddle, including payment and transaction remedies.

2. Accounts and authority

You must have capacity to contract and authority to bind the organisation you represent. Keep account access and integration credentials secure and promptly report suspected compromise. Workspace administrators control membership and repository access. A free account is not a paid purchase; plan access and limits depend on your entitlement. Use by an organisation must be authorised by that organisation.

3. Paddle orders and subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are sold through Paddle, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. The Paddle entity identified at checkout is your seller and handles payment, applicable sales taxes, invoices and transaction support. Review the total price, currency, tax treatment, billing interval and renewal terms before confirming. A subscription renews as disclosed at checkout unless cancelled before the next renewal. Use the management link in your Paddle receipt or https://paddle.net to cancel or resolve billing issues. Cancellation normally stops future renewals, with access continuing for the paid period unless a refund or the order provides otherwise. Signing out, uninstalling or deleting a workspace does not cancel a subscription.

4. Licence and deployment

Use is licensed under the Software Licence, within the applicable plan or written order. Public downloads do not grant unrestricted redistribution or a perpetual right to paid features. Hosted access and self-hosted installation are distinct deployments; purchase only grants the deployment rights described in your order. Free features may be used within their published limits. No uptime, response-time, backup or support service-level commitment is included unless expressly agreed.

5. Your content and integrations

You retain your rights in documents, repositories, specifications and other customer content. You grant Aurora only the permissions needed to provide, secure and support the service according to your instructions. This does not grant permission to train general-purpose AI models on customer content. You are responsible for lawful content, repository permissions and integration configuration. Publishing sends selected content to GitLab and those with repository access. Enabled AI and agent workflows may send prompts, relevant documents and code to the selected provider and may execute changes with the permissions you grant. Review generated output, changes and deployments; output may be inaccurate or infringe rights and is not professional advice.

6. Data and responsibilities

The Privacy Policy covers our own account, security and business processing. For hosted customer content Aurora acts as processor under the DPA. For self-hosted installations you operate storage, access, backups, updates and deletion; services you connect have their own terms. Do not supply secrets unnecessarily. Keep independent copies of repositories and important work. We remain responsible for our contractual and statutory obligations.

7. Suspension, termination and export

We may restrict access proportionately to address security threats, unlawful activity, material breach or expired entitlements. Where practicable we give reasons, notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy; urgent protective action may be immediate. Contact support to arrange lawful retrieval of your content before hosted access ends. Termination does not transfer ownership of your content. Return or deletion of hosted personal data follows the DPA and applicable law. Payment disputes and refunds remain subject to Paddle terms and mandatory rights.

8. Warranties and liability

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Except for express commitments and mandatory warranties, availability, compatibility and particular outcomes are not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss under these terms. Nothing excludes fraud, wilful misconduct, liability for death or personal injury where it cannot be excluded, mandatory data-protection liability, consumer remedies or any other non-excludable liability. No provision reduces remedies owed by Paddle for the purchase.

9. Changes

The version date identifies these terms. Changes do not retroactively alter completed purchases or accrued rights. Material changes require appropriate advance notice and any consent required by law; an agreed order change process continues to apply. Changes to paid prices or renewals must be disclosed before the affected charge under the purchase terms and applicable law.

10. Law and disputes

Our product agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction subject to mandatory rights to bring proceedings elsewhere. Consumers retain mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights of their country of habitual residence. Paddle purchases follow the law and dispute provisions of the applicable Paddle Buyer Terms. Contact us first to seek a resolution; this does not prevent statutory complaints or legal proceedings.
